hi i’m jess a young teenage girl who loves football, i have scored many goals won many trophies and now lets go on a little journey of whats happened since i have played football.
It all started in the park learning to ride a bike. As i was riding i saw my friends playing football for a local club and I so badly wanted to join in! luckily my dad took me over there and asked the manager if I could join in for a bit of fun (as they were only training).Things progressed and at the age of 4 i joined my very first football team. It was quite difficult for me back then back then being the only girl on the boys team but playing on my first team with boys boosted my confidence and brought me up to love football. Being the only girl of the team people saw me on the pitch had second thoughts and underestimated me .By the end of the match most of the opposition faces looked shocked. Unfortunately all the fun of being on the boys team had to come to an end and it was time to play in a proper league for the biggest all women’s football team in the South East.
Ten years later, so much many trophies have been won memories have been made and so many friends i will never lose. For me playing in a proper team competitively made me feel so under pressure with everyone shouting at me and i just had to show them what i can do.
November 2018 was the biggest moment of my life. i went of to my football match like an ordinary football player and 15 minutes into the game i scored three goals from a corner kick straight into the goal with no assists!!! this has never been done before i was shocked. After the match everyone was so proud of me telling me how great that was and one of the dads even managed to get one of the goals on camera.
I arrived home a couple of hours later and because it had never been done before i managed to get into our local newspaper. All i could say was WOW!
”No matter how hard you are trying, try harder”
”I may be a girl but you just wait till i show you what im capable of”
”I’m a girl and i love football is that really a problem”

Such an inspirational read! You must be proud.
